Plate and Piece Wear-resistant Microalloy Steel
The product is a microalloy steel cast and rolled with the company’s design and technology and approved for delivery to customers.
This steel is low-alloy and wear-resistant and is produced in 400HB to 600HB industrial types.
Its surface hardness depth is consistent, and it is highly weldable and mechanically strong.
It is widely-used in mines and cement and steel companies that mostly purchase Hardox plates from Sweden.
Product Technologies
The innovation in this steel's manufacturing is the use of B microalloy. Similar compositions of steel reduce surface to core hardness with average mechanical strength, but using microalloy improves structure and provides consistent surface to core hardness. Therefore, this steel is used in all equipment with abrasion wear. Another advantage is that using hard steel requires welding in specific conditions due to its composition analysis. However, this steel is easy to weld due to its metallographic structure resulting from the microalloy production, melting, cleaning, and forging technology. For the first time in Iran, this company produces hot-rolling equipment to manufacture these alloy plates, which represents an advantage for this company. Similar wear-resistant steel plates are imported from Sweden. However, due to their hardness, they increase secondary machining, perforation, and cutting costs. This company produces its own steel and carries out the secondary machining production operations to reach the intended hardness with heating. Parts made from this steel cost 20% less than foreign brands.
